The Local Cultural Strategy dedicates our commitment to arts and culture in the borough. Building on the solid foundations and growing arts reputation it has already achieved and securing increased access to arts provision for all residents in Barking and Dagenham.
A key priority is to increase participation in the arts in ways to encourage and include the whole community and we will be establishing an Arts Forum to kick start this work.
Much has been achieved in the borough with regards to arts and culture over the last decade and some great partnerships have been formed with organisations such as Studio 3 Arts, Arc Theatre, East London Dance and Chain Reaction Theatre Company, who have all been working with schools, community groups and individuals.
