An exciting and educational festival of arts activities for the whole community.
Sonic Spin is a free accredited music industry training course for 13-19 year olds.
Film London East is a 2½ year programme to develop and support film and media business in east London. It looks to help create a sustainable film and media sector in the region through business development schemes, short film production, providing online resources and offering one to one support and advice.
Barking and Dagenham is a partner in the project and we are working to develop opportunities for young people to access film making and career advice and employment opportunities for local film makers and businesses (Eastern Edge film fund).
The borough is working towards becoming a designated Cultural Hub as part of the London Development Agency's programme to support arts, culture and creativity through Creative London.
Being a Cultural Hub will help us to focus on developing and sustaining support for businesses and individuals who are employed in the cultural and creative industries.
These industries are defined as those which involve intellectual property and ownership of ideas and include all forms of arts, design and crafts from idea to production and all individuals and businesses who make a living from their creative ideas and work.
