To the south of Gale Street subway is Scrattons Farm, where Muf Architecture and artist Rayna Nadeem created distinct responses to the brief.
Rayna chose to work closely with the residents and created a film based on her research and collaborations, alongside a proposal for a large 'super-grass' panel to mask an imposing brick wall that residents often complained of.
The panel was subsequently not able to be commissioned, so the problem of the wall was addressed by Muf who created a bank of colour banded wildflowers along it, with bespoke lights and climbers to soften its frontage.
An avenue of almond trees with new fencing completes the scheme.
