Barking and Dagenham events at The Broadway|

After more than 3 years' hard work, The Broadway reopened in December 2004 with vastly improved public facilities, a stunning café bar overlooking the Abbey Green and a superb, comfortable, modern auditorium.

Our mission is simple: to give you, our audience, a great night out in every way, from the friendliness of our staff and the quality of our food and drink, to superb shows featuring the best artists and companies in the UK.

If you used to attend the old Broadway Theatre we look forward to welcoming you back to your newly refurbished venue and if you have not been before you will have a treat in store. It is a stunning building.

We very much hope that, young or old, you will find something to enjoy in our programme from our Comedy Club and our Big Nights Out, to our music programme featuring some of the best known artistes in the UK and our superb programme of family shows.

For local schools and students there is top quality drama and dance from leading companies. For the more mature audiences we are presenting a Sunday matinee programme and for young people aged 6-16 our Education programme will offer opportunities to learn acting, singing and movement skills and to perform in a range of exciting productions throughout the year.

We are very proud to have Barking College's renowned School of Performing Arts resident at The Broadway. Look out for the stars of tomorrow as their talented students present a regular programme of music, dance and drama. We also welcome and will support any local artists, groups or companies who wish to perform at The Broadway.

The Broadway is your venue and with your support and custom we aim to make it the best thing to happen in Barking and Dagenham for years. We look forward to seeing you soon.
