Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the Olympic journey in Barking and Dagenham.
Anyone can become a Gateway to the Games Volunteers, people of all ages and backgrounds.
You may have time to volunteer on a regular basis or you may only be able to give a few hours a few times a year. Whatever your motivation or situation we welcome you!
The Gateway to the Games Volunteer Programme is run by the Olympic Ambition Team at Barking and Dagenham Council. Signing up as one of our volunteers will not guarantee that you will be selected as a Games Time Volunteer; however we will support all volunteers that choose to apply to volunteer at the London 2012 Games.
The Inspire programme is an opportunity for everyone to be a part of the London 2012 Games; a broad participation programme spanning sport participation, education, sustainability, volunteering and business opportunities and skills.
New opportunities are being created to inspire young people and encourage for the whole of the UK to join in.
We are looking to recruit a minimum of 500 local people to get involved in many volunteering opportunities and benefits.
Find out why they joined up and what motivates them!
Sign up today, it is that simple!
