Skills and Jobs

The Council wants to ensure Barking and Dagenham residents are able to benefit fully from jobs created through the Games and from the legacy created.

Job Brokerage Service can be accessed through the borough's Job Shops and a range of outreach sites, including Children's Centres.

The service receives details of jobs from Relay, the Olympic Job Brokerage Service, and tries to match these to local people.

The Council works with local providers to offer training and apprenticeships that will equip residents with the most appropriate skills for the job market.
