London Olympic Games Organising Committee have launched a programme and website dedicated to children and young people in the UK and around the world promoting ways to get involved in the Olympic and Paralympic Games - no matter what they are inspired by.
The Get Set education programme is for:
Make sure your school, college or university registers to Get Set now!
We ask local schools, colleges and universities in the borough to make contact and tell us about their plans running up to the Games!
Barking and Dagenham schools were recognised for the highest percentage of sign up's to Get Set earlier in the year.
There are many opportunities available to young people in the borough. We will keep you informed of forthcoming competitions and activities themed around the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Meet Wenlock and Mandeville, the official London 2012 mascots. They are on an adventure around the UK, meeting lots of people and making new friends before reaching London in 2012.
Through Get Set you could be part of the story! Wenlock and Mandeville are passionate about the Olympic and Paralympic Values and they can't wait to get out and meet the children and young people who are living the Values too.
Enter the London 2012 competition and you could be among the first to meet them!
Don't forget to check out the new education logo for 2012 which was designed by the winner of a recent Get Set design competition.
Be part of the Games by taking part in fun and exciting competitions and opportunities!
There are currently no competitions or opportunities.
