Lindsey Tate - Judo

Lindsey is 18 years of age and has been a judo player for a number of years and enjoyed competing at the London Youth Games collecting a number of medals. Lindsey became a member of British Judo Associations' Great Britain Cadet Squad 2 years ago.

This meant attending the monthly training camps and she has also competed at a number of junior events for Great Britain.

Last year Lindsey had to make the transition from junior to senior squad and throughout the year she competed in both junior and senior events including her most successful of her senior events the Commonwealth Judo Championships where she took a silver medal.

In the British Closed Championships (junior) Lindsey was 2nd and in the British Closed Championships (senior) she was 5th.

Lindsey is now looking for a place on the Senior Team and is working towards European Championships, World Championships and the Olympics.
