Craig Moate - Swimming

Craig is now 23 years of age and is an elite swimmer with a learning disability and a member of the Great Britain Team.

In a recent competition in Slovakia, Craig won gold medals in the 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m freestyle, the 200m Individual medley and the 50m Butterfly. He also won silver in the 100m Butterfly.

Craig is European Champion in the 200m and 1,500m freestyle and World Record holder for the 800m and 1,500m freestyle long course and the 800m and 1,500m freestyle short course.

Craig has been selected to swim at the International Sports Federation for Persons with Intellectual Disability World Swimming Championships in Belgium in August 2007.
