The Road to Learning 2008

William Ford Church of England Junior School

Admission criteria and procedure

The standard admission number is 84 pupils which means 3 classes of 28 children in each year group. It is the policy of the governors to admit the children of all parents who choose for their children to be educated at the school.

If the school receives more applications than there are places available, the governors will take account of the following criteria in priority order.

Admission criteria

  1. Children who regularly go to a church which is a member of the Dagenham Churches Fellowship. (You can see a list of these churches in the school office - please contact the school for this information)
  2. Children who regularly go to another place of worship
  3. Children who have a brother or sister at the school at the time of the application
  4. Children who go to Village Infant School at the time of the application
  5. Children who live closest to the school. This is measured in kilometres by the nearest available walking route using recognised footpaths, by-ways and public highways which our Highways Department are responsible for numbering and maintaining

Important notes

Appeals
