Sending in your forms

Common application form

If you live outside Barking and Dagenham you must fill in the common application form available from the borough or county council area that you live in and return that form, to that council by their closing date.

If you live in Barking and Dagenham, please return your common application form to us by the closing date (Friday 23 October 2009). You can do this in one of the following ways.

A - Online

Apply online no later than midnight on Friday 23 October 2009. You will need to register on the e Admissions website. This site joins together public services in London and allows you to enjoy other benefits.

Make sure you record your username or email address and password which you have used to make your application. It is important to keep this information. Without it you will not be able to go online and see which school place we have offered your child.

B - By post

Please allow time for the paper form to be delivered if you send it by post. We must receive it at the address shown no later than Friday 23 October 2009.

D - In person

Bring your form to the One Stop Shop within the Barking Learning Centre no later than Friday 23 October 2009. The Barking Learning Centre is the new building next to the Town Hall.

Receipts

If you apply online and successfully submit your application, you will be given an application reference number. You can telephone us to check that we have received your online application.

Forms received at Barking and Dagenham primary or junior schools will be recorded by the school administrator.

If you post your application to us, proof of posting is not proof that we have received it. If you want us to let you know that we have received your form, you must fill in the receipt slip (section 6 of the common application form) and enclose a stamped self-addressed envelope.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of posting your form, it is likely that we did not receive it. In that case, we strongly recommend that you apply online. We cannot confirm over the telephone that we have received your paper form.

However you apply, please keep your receipts in a safe place as you will need to show them to us if we have any questions we need to ask you.

Proof of address

Please include proof of your address if your child goes to a school outside the borough or if your address is different from the information your child's Barking and Dagenham primary or junior school holds on Friday 10 July 2009. We need this information to check that addresses are accurate and to prevent fraudulent applications. Please see frequently asked questions for more information.

Children in care

If your child is in the care of a local authority, you must also include a letter from the social worker confirming the legal status of the child and the local authority that the child is in the care of. The letter should also provide the reasons for the preferences of the schools you have listed.

Supplementary form for All Saints Catholic School and Technology College

Send your common application form to your to your home local authority
You and your parish priest must fill in all relevant sections of the priest's reference form (supplementary form) so your priest can send it to All Saints Catholic School and Technology College by Friday 23 October 2009
You must also send photocopies of your child's certificate of baptism and first communion certificate to the school by Friday 23 October 2009, together with the name of the parish and the priest you have given your priest's reference form to and the date you gave it to them

Please do not send original documents as they will not be returned.

All Saints Catholic School and Technology College important information

The governors of All Saints Catholic School and Technology College will not consider your application as a Catholic unless you have filled in and returned the common application form, the priest's reference form and provided other necessary documents the school has asked for (the child's certificate of baptism and, if they have made their first communion, the certificate they receive)
If you are late sending your common application form, it will be processed after Monday 2 March 2008. The governors will put your child on a waiting list and consider the application only after they have offered places to pupils whose applications were received by the closing date
If you put forward your common application form, priest's reference form or certificates (baptism and communion) for All Saints Catholic School and Technology College after the relevant closing dates, the governing body will consider your application to be late
If you are applying through another borough and miss your deadlines, your application will be classed as late
