The Right Secondary School 2009

Admissions process

How we use your preferences

We process all applications using the equal-preference model. This is explained below.

Using the admission criteria

If there are more applications than there are places available at a school, the admissions authority will use their admission criteria to decide which applications to accept.

In Barking and Dagenham, the local authority is the admissions authority for the 8 community schools.

The governing body of All Saints Catholic School and Technology College is the admissions authority for All Saints Catholic School and Technology College.

Please make sure that you understand the admission criteria that the schools listed on your form will use. The notes are provided to explain particular points about the criteria they use.
