This action plan has been written in response to the recommendations of the Ofsted inspection report on Barking and Dagenham local education authority published in May 2002.
It will be implemented by the Children's Services Department over a 2 year period and will be the framework for coordinating the full range of responses to be made.
It is expected that the school improvement activities will become part of the Education Development Plan (2002-2007).
