Project Team and Governance

 

We are responsible for delivering the Building Schools for the Future programme in Barking and Dagenham.

 

The programme is being developed by a dedicated project team working in partnership with stakeholders, schools and partners to transform education and create 21st century schools.

• The Building Schools for the Future Project Board and Steering Group is established, with representation from the Council, its partners and key stakeholders
• The Project Board and Steering Group meet to make decisions and do so in a timely and efficient way
• A core and extended Project Team is in place

The Core Project Team

Our core project team consists of staff who are strong and committed with a good breadth of knowledge.

 

The Barking and Dagenham core team includes

• Programme management
• Procurement
• Finance
• ICT
• Education
• Stakeholder and communications
• Architecture and Design
• Change management

Our external partners are

• Eversheds, legal
• Grant Thornton, finance
• Currie and Brown, technical
• Curl la Tourelle, design

The team work closely with other council areas, including planning, property and corporate ICT.
