When will my appeal be heard?

Once you have filled in your appeal form, return it to:

The Clerk to the Appeal Panel

Tel: 020 8227 2271

Fax: 020 8227 2171

Textphone: 020 8227 2685

The Clerk to the Panel will write to you to let you know they have received your appeal. They will then send you another letter, giving you at least 14 days notice of the date, time and place of the appeal hearing.

7 days before the appeal, you will receive your papers for the hearing. You should bring these with you if you decide to come to the hearing. The papers will include a copy of your appeal form and a statement from the local authority explaining why they cannot offer your child a place at your preferred school.

If you want to provide any extra written evidence, you should send it to the Clerk to the Panel (at the above address) at least 7 days before the appeal hearing.
